| Hi Fergus,
I won't say too much as I'm biased by having a boat for sale, I'll let other more experienced surfers give their opinion.
Check out my post below yours on the forum, for the boat I am selling. I've surfed, ran rivers, learned to roll in it. I was teaching my cousin in it yesterday, he's 6' 1" & 16 stone and the footrest could move forward another 3 inches, so I'm sure you'll fit. The best thing, is to try lots of boats.

| Hi, Whitewater spec means everything in the boat is adjustable to suit you. Seat, thighbraces, hip pads, foot rest. This one come's with airbags too, no aircon though! As for negotiable, come look at it and we'll talk. It's a good price as it is, the black paddle is a french one that cost 100 or the Werner Rio is 150 from MDAC.ie the deck is 75 new. Give me a ring if u want to view. 087 8224288 Paul | |

| Micheal McSweeneys jackson is as good as new. One crack which is due to be plastic welded. Super boat for river running, which i know you'll get hooked on when we get you out on a river. Not ideal for surf, bu as you know yourself Inch this year has been a bit of a flop. Talk to him, i'm sure he'll let you take it away for a test, Dave | |

Dave True, but Inch is down the road & as I understand it the rivers worth doing are in Kerry... Can't wait to give them a go though... Cheers |

| Hi Fergus I've a Perception Whip-It which I've used many times in the surf at Inch. I'm no expert but it definitely catches a wave, is relatively easy to roll and is stable enough for a beginner. You could also run rivers in this. I'm 6' 3" and have no problems fitting in. I live close to Inch so if you fancy trying it out give me a shout on the number below and I'll sort you out with a trial. All the best, Kevin (087 9276541) |

| Well Hello Fergus, If its a boat for surf you are looking at, my opinion is that length for speed, and a flat hull are important. A good surf boat will also have a sharp rail. Depending on what you are looking for, there's a load of options. If you want a biggish boat you'll fit in that will run most rivers, has a flat hull and sharp rail, there is a Demo Pyranha Ammo Medium in Munster Dive and Canoe for €600 http://www.mdac.ie/gallery/main.php?g2_itemId=1604 Should surf well and run most things you throw at river wise. Wave Sport Diesels also surf well, If you want to sacrifice some river ability for more surf, have a look at the Wavesport Fuse All the boats here should be good for Surf( with the exception of the Remix, it has a round hull ) and will take you down a river also. http://www.mdac.ie/gallery/main.php?g2_itemId=68 There's plenty out there, if you've any questions on any boats just drop and email thegreatestdancer -at- gmail -dot- com Mickey | |

| On another note, i've just learned that the current WS Fuses and Diesels in stock in MDAC at the moment are going for €805, thats a steal. | |

Yea, wise enough now to grab the boat with the rudder when I had the chance! Enjoyed every second of it though! Thanks again |

|
http://www.irishfreestyle.com/node/4484
Hmmmm. Sadly you have a point... Had thought of it already though & have been on to Bantry Bay. What are your thoughts on the boat though? It's still cheaper than the GT max & the online reviews are good. |

| Don't ask me about boats. My choosing a boat goes something like this: Micheal; "How's it going?" Mark; "Alrite Boy?" Micheal; "That's a nice looking boat." Mark; "It sure is. Boy!" Micheal; "It's a nice shade of red." Mark; "I'll throw in a few bumper stickers with it. Boy!" Micheal; "Cool! I'll take it. You take Visa?" Mark; "Alrite Boy!" One month later. On a river in Kerry. (Yes we sometimes go on rivers.) Dave; " What you think of the new boat?" Micheal; "I don't know, I think I'll sell it." Dave; "Again? You only have it a month." Micheal; " I know. But the colour is just not me." Dave; " Slide coming up..................." 5 minutes later at the bottom of the 'Slide of Doom'. Dave; " Shit. What you do to your boat?" Micheal; "Broke it on the Slide of Doom. Shit! It's f****d. You want t buy a boat, Dave?" Dave; " OK." | |

| Enjoy, or as my local culchies say "well wear" Try not to wear it out too much though. Did you get it from CH's Frankfield branch? How much gear have they on show? Paul Heff | |

Paul Heff Cheers Paul, & thanks again. Yep, got it in Frankfield. They'd very little gear really, mostly sit ons & fishing kayaks. Very pleased with my bit of business though. |

Have you christened it yet??? Cheers Kevin. I did indeed, unsurprisingly, barely 24 hours after bringing it home it was taken to Inch. Went well, but I had the seat too far foreward, so the nose was a little too low in the water. Will find out if it's sorted tonight. |
