Anyone else think this is good value! Would the club be interested in adding this to the fleet? Any other surfers have an opinion..

As a club boat, it'd be great.
Altho the prices he quotes in the ad are a bit misleading.
( He also has the side fins in on the wrongs sides in the photo. I find this funny Smile )
You can get a brand new plastic surf boat with a newer faster design for €750
http://www.saoruisce.ie/index.php?id_category=12&controller=category

Paddlesurf have a few of these and some of your guys have surfed them. Great boats. Ye are welcome to come try them.

If its a personal boat, go for a fibreglass or carbon model, the difference in how they surf is insane. Plastic is too flexible to hold its speed.
There are some cheap( but good condition ) fibreglass boats currently on the market for the same price.
Or my own full carbon foam core is also for sale for twice the price.

The expensive repairs thing is a bit of a stretch too. Repairs are cheap and easier to do on a composite over a plastic. Easy to do yourself, or I've never spent more than €100 on a repair to my waveski( thats for a professional job, my own fixes have never cost me more than €30 ), which have been big jobs.

You could prob get the exact same boat for a bit cheaper I reckon, a composite boat for the same price, or a way better boat for a bit more if you were willing to look around.
