Night Kayaking - Fundraising event to raise funds for Aaron McMahon

" Aaron McMahon is a 17 year old lad from Shanagarry, East Cork who has tragically been given only months to live unless he can raise medical treatment in US for his brain tumour at a cost of $80,000-$100,000"

A fundraising paddle has been organised by Patrick (see contact above) to raise money for the life saving surgery.

Everybody can go to this. Last year it was a really short paddle (there were sit on kayaks, river runners, sea kayaks and even somebody with a canoe), for a good cause. You may need a head torch- last year they were selling some to raise extra money (not sure if they will do the same this year)

They are asking for €10 if you bring your own kayak or €20 to rent a sit on kayak for the paddle (link in facebook page)

Great fun this evening while supporting a worthy cause.

Huge turn out for the event so hopefully the family raised plenty of funds.

It was a great night on the water and between the 160 people on the water and all the other events 11,000 was raised. well done all who attended or contributed.
