Howdy,

A few people have asked me about intro paddles lately, first time I've seen these but Palm are usually top quality. Cheap for a fibreglass paddle. The Equivalent Werner Rio is about 130 euro. Anyone tried these?

Palm Maverick G1 Paddle - 81 euro - I-canoe

The TNP Rapa is another option, haven't paddled these either but the online reviews are positive.

TNP Rapa FG paddles at Bantry Bay Canoes (in Bandon!!) 87 euro (FG), 4-piece split 120 euro, carbon shaft 120 euro

TNP also do the RAPA in a 4-piece split, this would be a decent option at 120 euro. I have the Lendal Emergency Split (200cm) but this is now hard to get hold of, the TNP is slightly shorter at 197cm but would still suit as a back-up paddle for whitewater and sea.

If anyone is interested but doesn't want to go/get one from Dublin, try ask about these at wild side sports in Bandon, Phil is great and can get most stuff in about 3 days. He also gives 10% or more discount if you mention your with Phoenix or mention what you can get it for.
