Basic beginnery boat wanted

Hey folks, a friend of mine in work is looking for something to pootle around in the sea in - I asked him would he be looking to surf it or just wander round in and he mostly looked confused, he hasn't a notion about paddling, would only be going out in fairly flat weather, I was thinking something like an old school river boat, long and stable for a beginner... anyone got anything sitting in the shed they're looking to shift? The cheaper and more cheerful the better!

How about the Jackson Rocker? Should be as good as new after Mr Barry works his magic.
