For anyone who wants to give slalom a go there's a new calender just published on www.irishcanoeslalom.com

I hope to make the first 3 events, but am away for the last 3, and can probably give lifts to people if needed.

Before
anyone asks, you do not need a slalom boat to compete, you can enter
the lower divisions in any boat you want, it'll just be a bit slower.

If
you're unsure whether it's worth trying in a creek boat or a play boat
you could always use a polo boat. Polo boats are essentially slalom
boats with the nose and tail cut off.
