Just seen this post if anyone is still looking for a fast kayak it may be worth e-mailing jim morrissey. He is willing to rent boats for the race.

Just e-mailed him myself so not sure what he has to offer

Entries have now closed and i have the official list of kayak paddlers taking part .
Some paddlers have put their name down as PAID UP Members of Phoenix and are not on my list??
They will have to pay €70 on the day to race or be disqualified. No Embarassed
To all the rest Best of luck and enjoy the race.Very Happy

PS Martin and myself will be hosting a pre race wine and cheese party on board the Rescue boat , All PKC members are invited to attend .
Dress formal ??

Whats the best plan on Saturday for Ocean to City? scratch

i.e. having a car to bring boats and competitors down to the start line and leaving cars at the finish line in the city.

What did ye do last year? Was there any kind of shuttle bus running competitors up and down??

bounce bounce bounce bounce bounce bounce bounce bounce bounce bounce bounce

PostSubject: Last Year   Mon May 26 2008, 12:31

There was a warehouse available at the finish line for parking last
year, so what we did was meet there and leave 2 cars there and load the
boats onto one and drive to croshaven then. After the race it means
having to go back for that car, but usually if you can bum a lift back
and get someone else to take your boat is the best.

I'll have to wait till after the prize-giving Rolling Eyes before i head away, so I might not be any good. We can suss out the finer details thursday night.

Its only a bit of fun Micheal. Are you still sour over getting lost last year Crying or Very sad

There are two things stopping me racing this year.

1. My Boat

2. My Body
