Hey there, any possibility of a club outing on Cladagh or Roughty pre easter?

Laughing Can't really plan for the Roughty and the Cladagh. The 2 depend totally on rain, and lots of it.
Also these two rivers are not really suitable for large Club Trips like we had last Sunday.
Safer with small groups made up equally of paddlers who know the river and newbies.
I live prety close to these two rivers and paddle them whenever I get a chance. So for anyone who's intrested, send a PM to me with your mobile number, and I'll give you a shout when we're heading out. (Depends on numbers)

It will be pretty short notice, you'll need all your own gear, and Level 3 minimum.
Just to give you an idea of the level of the river's, they are a nice step up from the Upper Bandon. So if you were a little nervous the last day, Embarassed , you'll love thes rivers.

Hey Micheal

Being a newbie I'd like to paddle them with some experienced folk. Count me in when youre putting a trip together.

John,

I am around this weekend (Except Sat AM)

There should be water in either of these 2 rivers if you fancy them. The top section of the Cladagh could be worth a shot as its listed as only grade 3+ in the book.

I have to agree with Michael in terms of a club trip for 30 people (Similar to the Upper Bandon) on these rivers, it starts getting i bit difficult for instructors who could be held accountable. Hence you are better off just Paddling in smaller groups of friends where you look out for each other.

Let me know if you or any one else is up for a river this weekend?

Hi Guys I'm up for something this Sunday, I'm working Saturday night but could knock off a few hours early if something came up. I would need some notice in order to book these off.

As a matter of interest is there any members of the Club who like me find themself's free during weekdays as I work shiftwork ? everyone seems to paddle Saturday and Sunday's and while I can make some of these easy others take a bit of effort and lack of sleep.

Next week I'm off Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, I wouldn't mind going for a Paddle on one of these day's morning or evening with people in a similar situation contact me if your interested.
