Sorry forgot to hit send on the post during week. DOH!

Welcome to the Escape from Spike Swim briefing. It's really very simple.

Turn up - 18:30 Sunday the 6th of July
Where- Car park by Titanic museum, drive into Cobh and as you go down the hill it is the first (only) turn on your right.

Latest- 18:45 is Safety briefing, you must have checked in with me before this. (I will be the stressed one)
Leaving- 19:00 boarding the boats to head for Spike. If you have not paid and checked in, too late.

Swim
is 1200m and open water. So if you have not done the distance or been
in open water yet this year, make yourself known to me when you check
in. If you are in difficultly then approach a kayak or Rib. Or raise
your fist in the air. Rescue should be prompt. All swimmers will assist
someone in difficulty.

If you leave the water or if the rescue decides you have had enough then out you get. You do not re-enter the water.

You will swim to the steps where the safety will check you against the list. Job done!

Thanks for raising money for the build4life project. And a thank you to our sponsors and friends.

Thank you all!

To everyone who turned up, thanks. You made it easier to organise. To those of you who missed it, sorry you couldn't make it. Next year.
I have the results here and looking at them, I think we either swam slow or the distance was a bit longer than my "guess". :-) First swimmer was 25mins last about 40mins.

So far we have raised 720 euro for the CF build4life project and there is still some more to come. Money is already on the way as we speak.

Photos to follow. Some of them need photo shop. Daves seal launch is included.

Thanks again for all your help.

Can I just point out that for the sealed launch, Seamus had asked what
could go wrong, so I said i'd show him how it can go wrong and how to
correct it, which was not in the photo's Embarassed
