Yeah well I thought you were dead for a while Zuppy, cos I didn't see you in a boat for about a year, but guess I was mistaken!!
It'd be cool to see a really big turnout from the club for this one - it's a fun event so you don't have to be able to do any big moves to take part, we just want to get as many people as possible involved. If you don't have a playboat don't worry, we should have demo boats for people to try on the day.

It would be great to see a good turn out from phoenix for this. Its looking likes it going to be shaping up to be one of the top events on the kayaking calender.
I'm sure it was already said but there will be Junior and and sport classes, so everybody should come along even if you have never tried freestyle before. Also if you want to compete could you pre-register by emailing riverjam@gmail.com, just include your ICU number and name and the category you wish to enter . So any questions just fire em up. Looking forward to seeing you at the event.

Some more details for you:

Phoenix have agreed to let us use their carpark for the day, so the gate will be open, people can hop on here and paddle down.
The feature is tidal, so we will need to be strict on times. Registration will be open from 11 on Saturday morning at the Sluice, first heat on the water at 12, if you're not there then tough! The tide means we will have to be finished and wrapped up by 5.
AGM: The Irishfreestyle AGM will take place shortly after the event wraps up. Venue will be confirmed shortly, but will be close by.
Party: The important one! There will be a party Saturday night (over 18s over sorry!) in a highly secret location. Details will be given out at the competition on Saturday.
And finally, so far the juniors are outnumbering the seniors, and the turnout from ladies is particularly pathetic, so don't forget to get your registrations in to riverjam@gmail.com asap please
It should be a fun event, good for both spectators and competitors. There's plenty of you lot have playboats (cough Paul cough) who've put a lot of effort into your playboating over the last while so come on show us what you've learned!

Boycott the rodeo! This is a political rally to further the cause of playboating and river running.
It should be stopped. Join me upstream for a protest. (I will provide small logs to drop in upstream of the sluice).
