The Annual City of the Tribes Long Distance Race is on this weekend

When - Saturday 19th September, race start @ 13:30hrs

What is it? - Irish Canoe Union Marathon kayak race

Who is it for? - everybody from novice paddlers to experienced paddlers are most welcome!

How far is the race? 3 different courses of 2km, 11km & 15km

Start/Finish Location- Fisheries Field, Galway City,-entrance to F.Field down a lane opposite front entrance to Galway Cathedral.

Race Entries taken from 11:30 on the day, Seniors €10 Juniors €8

Usual Racing Classes plus 2km fun race for beginner paddlers! Safety boat will patrol race course.

Note: Following recent works in Fisheries Field, Car parking space is now VERY restricted, recommended to please drop off your kayak and exit field to park either in the Cathedral carpark across the main road or on NUIG main campus (out of Fisheries Field, turn right & second entrance on the right)
