Fergus Galvin has approached me asking if members of the club would be available on Sunday the 5th of October 2008 for the 2nd running of the Annual Charity Swim from Blackrock Castle to Cobh.

This was attended by a number of club members last year. Usually each paddler is assigned to a swimmer and you just paddle alongside them providing them with food and drinks when required. You are not required to assist them in any other way. If they appear to be getting into difficulty then you can call in one of the many ribs on hand.

First swimmer away for 10:30am from blackrock.

Approx 20 swimmers

Everybody will be finished and in the pub by three o clock.

If we could meet for 9:30 to sort car pool.

any more takers for this lads/ladies.

if not they will have to start axeing swimmers, as they require 1 paddler to one swimmer
