Simon/Denis, you need to get in touch with the marathon committee not the CI office on this.

Here's their website https://canoemarathonireland.com/https://canoemarathonireland.com/

Here's the Canoe Marathon Ireland (CMI) facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/groups/278017270919/

And the CMI committee page,
https://www.facebook.com/canoemarathonireland/

Give Ciaran Cooke a shout too, he's likely been in touch with the marathon committee already.
The Canoe Marathon Ireland committee are responsible for all marathon races in Ireland, and they're the only ones who can confirm a date for you. If the race isn't sanctioned by the CMI committee you won't get too many paddlers willing to travel for it.

It was great to see a Cork race on the calendar again this year, it would be great to see it an annual race again.

Feel free to drop me a PM or call me if you want to know more.
