PostSubject: Garda vetting through CI   Fri 25 Nov 2016, 3:52 am

For anyone who needs to be garda vetted or whose vetting has or almost has expired (lasts 5 years) Canoe Ireland now have an online system in place. They will NO LONGER accept the old paper form. The new system is pretty straight forward, it still takes a few weeks to be processed. I have outlined the steps below for anyone who needs to be vetted.

1. download the form from the CI website.

Fill in the form and get it signed by a "A responsible person", to ensure you are who you are, and you live where you live Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy . You need to prove this with a copy of your passport and a recent utility bill.

Post the form and the copy of utility bill to CI at the following adress.

Liaison Person,
Canoeing Ireland,
Irish Sport Hq,
National Sports Campus,
Blanchardstown, Dublin 15

2. sit back and wait.

You will the recieve an email containing a password and a link to the garda vetting online system, which you can fill and send off, once completed, As far as I am aware both you and CI get a copy of the garda vetting cert. Ill keep ye updated as mine is currently being processed.
