Where's the dam? Upriver from Iniscarra I'm guessing. If ye're gonna be there I'd like to head down for a look. Can't paddle though - my boat's in the clubhouse and I've no way of transporting it yet anyway. Plus I'm still short a personal pfd. However I'm considering picking up a used playboat to keep in my little van for occasions such as this. I presume the dam is suitable for a new L2. I'm anxious to do as much paddling as I possibly can.

Wouldn't a sea kayak paddle Sat morn before Sandycove would be ideal for the Liffey Descenders to get some mileage in?
