Interesting...an easy fit too i think...no switch assembly to worry about, once you connect to your battery it looks after the water on auto.....

Those are sold in ch marine in cork, i keep meaning to ask paul about the sliding switch for when i get one. The one i was looking at is around 25 euro.

no...this is the 25s...ts a non floating switch type..ie a chip switches on the motor for 1 sec. every 2.5 minutes and and can decide to stay on if water is present...no switch assembly needed......looks like a great bit of kit.....but a lot more expensive than the switch type...but i guess if you get all that its going to end up the same price....you can read the spec on the link...it explains how it works...a floating switch would not be good for rolls...lol....

You still need a switch to turn it off when your not using it, otherwise you'll have to remember to disconnect the battery.

Floating switches are known to be troublesome. I didn't use a floating switch because when I looked at the specs I found most needed at least 25mm deep water before switching on (and staying turned on), this also means it'll turn off before empty and leave you with that much water in the kayak.

ch marine, Rule 360 Pump 12v 26 euro. waterproof on off switch from jet ski 16 euro, wire 2 euro and a small 12v battery in maplin 20 euro total cost 62 euro. you will need a drill and sealent and it will take you 2 hours and twenty minutes.. unless you drill a hole in the wrong place and make a balls of it lol!
