Hi all, It is expected the Marathon committee will be purchasing somewhere in the region of 10,000 to 15,000 euros worth of boats which will be issued to clubs in the new year to develop racing canoeing in clubs. We hope to purchase apporx 4 or 5 K2s and 10 to 12 stable K1s. We therefore ask clubs to submit an expression of interest if they would be keen to obtain boats on loan for 2012. Exact allocation will depend on a number of factors, but preference will be given to those clubs who have not already recieved boats and to those clubs who have been good enough to host ranking races. in previous years. So please send an email if your club might make use of some stable boats. It would be expected to purchase a similar number of boats in early to mid 2012 out of our 2012 budget which will also be distributed to clubs. If you have already submitted a request please re submit it to the Marathon committee ASAP. Brendan OBrian
