Good site alright. As they have stated just getting started, but the potential is there for it to be excellent if it gets the feedback from people.

PostSubject: IWW needs your local knowledge   Sun 04 Feb 2007, 12:10 pm

Hi

Iím going around to all the kayaking club message boards and asking them can they contribute their local rivers to IrishWhiteWater.com, Ireland's whitewater river guide. Itís a really worthwhile project as it will be a resource that paddlers in this country will be able to use for years to come.

Even if you only know minimal details about the river, thatís fine. We work under the many hands principle.

If your local rivers are already on the site, what we would love to see is editing and updating guides that already exist. Improving the quality of the guide, correcting facts, adding photos, correcting bad spelling, adding better details about how to get to the put in and the take out. Also the addition of rivers that are suitable for beginners (grade I-II), at the moment most of the rivers added are of a very high grade.

Itís all pretty easy to do, and you can spend as much or as little time as you like adding to it.

Thanks
Seanie. Smile

I'm sure there is enough experience in the club to add some detail to the already growing list of rivers on the River guide. If anybody has interest in running these rivers to confirm their points before submittin them please let us know and we can try and organise an outing to get a few photo's of whatever river is chosen.
