PostSubject: Surf Coaching day   Tue 03 May 2011, 5:04 pm

Hi folks,
I know it's exam season for some, so paddling is the last thing you may want to hear about but... the Irish paddlesurf committee have provisionally pencilled in a Cork surf kayak coaching event / come try it day for the weekend of the 14 / 15 May, most likely Garretstown or Inchydony. Demo surf boats, some coaching, a nice fun beach day. Four of this years Irish paddlesurf team are from Cork, so it's a good chance to pick up some tips.
So, currently trying to gauge interest, who thinks they may be interested? If you've ever been out in surf this is a good chance to get some more coaching and take it to the next level,, maybe even try out the fast boats with the fins, if you never have, all the more reason to come! Open to all levels, beginners, intermediate or above, everyone and anyone welcome.
I've put the same message on UCC and CIT boards, feel free to extend the invitation to anyone else who may be interested.
Any questions shout
Muireann

Great to see interest in this. Unfortunately surf conditions currently not looking great for the weekend, we'll have to keep an eye and see, but if it stays no swell and high winds it's unlikely to go ahead, and will be resheduled for another time. Will make a definite call in a day or two. no point wasting everyone's time if there's no surf!

Hi peoples,
unfortunately due to complete lack of swell this has been postponed from this weekend and will not be going ahead. I'll let folks know the new date when it's sorted.
