PostSubject: Cappa quin to Youghal    Wed Apr 06 2011, 23:49

Wonder would there be interest, in joining myself and Dinny Dom .For a Sea paddle from Cappaquin to Youghal Bay surrounds.
Plan is May 1St. Would like advice from Paddlers who journeyed this river. I'm hearing it's got breathless scenery.

Any constructive ideas welcome .

Paddle now reversed .[u][b]Youghal to Cappaquin meet @ 10.30 2nd May .At Youghal Main Bridge .

Converted truck/ Diner on right side coming from Cork .

Shuttle to Cappaquin.

Ok we have decided to reverse the paddle .
Reason high tide and winds.

Meet at Youghal /Waterford main bridge near Road Diner. This is a large Blue Convereted truck on right side coming from Cork .

Meet at 10.30.We drop gear nearby and shuttle cars to Cappaquin.Ideally one large car completes shuttle.Feel free to organise yourselves .

Paddlers confirmed Seven .

See you there & bring your packed lunch & camera.

After a battle into the wind at the start this turned out to be an excellent paddle. Scenery was pretty impressive despite the rain. It would be well worth doing this again when it's sunny. Noel, can you arrange for the sun to be out next time as well as everything else?
