PostSubject: nice evening   Fri 08 Apr 2011, 11:03 am

We had a good evening paddle wednesday out of blackrock - thanks folks

It would be great to see some others come along.

I wouldnt be put off by the idea of it being the sea or the perception generated by the "gear".

Long boat/Sea kayaking and river running complement each other really well and in my view, transfer well with a lot of addional benefits (esp. when there is no water!) including getting to see this brillent country and learning.

So come along and give it a lash the next time!

regards

dónal

Had a few inquiries .Same situation as previous years .Too many small cars, too many BIG Sea kayaks .

If planning to join us for sea paddle .You must arrange your own transport & draw gear from equipments officer.

To my knowledge once gear is drawn, the rental is weekly ,which is very good .But i'm open to correction.

For those who are reading this and unsure of the situation, have a look at the club booklet for info.

However, you are correct that the ridiculously cheap 10 euro rental fee for a set of gear (kayak, paddle, B-aid, deck) allows you to keep the gear for seven days. Sat to Sat counts as 8 days (two weeks) for the mathematically challenged...

Although most people bring the gear back, for storage, security reasons, etc.

Note: Anyone renting equipment is responsible for the safe return/replacment of club gear in your care.
