PostSubject: Query from North Pole   Tue 23 Nov 2010, 10:07 am

Kevin,

Just had a query from the elves in the North Pole - they were wondering should they be carbon fibre or glass and what angle is wanted on the blades?

Remember just because you ask Santa doesn't mean you will get exactly what you want sometimes Santa knows best.

Paula

Dear Santa,
I have, for the vast majority of the year, been very good and I would like

a Towing System (like the one Emer has Wink)

Bivvy Bag or equivalent

Whistle (so I don't have to rob the one from my walking kit)

Repair Kit (For repairs to both fibreglass and plastic kayaks) I've heard Sex Wax and gaffer tape can do wonders

oh and a Kokatat dry suit Smile (smiling sweetly) ...or maybe not...

I'm confused scratch scratch I thought you had a towing system......... Jeremy!!

Rebecca wrote:

Answer = gaffer tape (duct-tape) and an imagination....

Use your fingers, you'll never forget or need to rob a whistle again.

You're quite right, Surfers Wax and duct-tape have multiple uses..... silent

Well yes but he's awfully hard to pack away in one of those handy small bags that you can wear around your waist
paul heff wrote:

Sorry I've lost my imagination, are we supposed to bandage casualties like mummies? Suspect
I was thinking a thick plastic bag might do

Have never managed this with one hand. I figured it would be safer to hold onto my paddles rather than use two.

Yeah, apparently you warm a lump of the wax by rubbing it between your hands, mold it into the offending hole/crack and gaffer tape over it. The wax hardens when it goes cold. Rolling Eyes
