Have Wed night's just about run thier course - not much there in the way of light now.
How about a night paddle 14th Oct see if we can find a bit of phosphorescence in the water. Was thinking about Cuskinny at 20:00 ish. Alternative might be sandycove...any thoughts needs to be somewhere quiet not much traffic?

What extra kit is needed for a night seapaddle, apart form a headtorch maybe? I could be interested in a night time paddle when I get back from Oz. Assuming I can borrow a boat somewhere.

Kayaks do not need running lights hence a headtorch and chemical light
sticks are usually enough. A white flare is good for warning off
muppets in zodiacs but usually go somewhere with little traffic out of
the way as it's safer. Night paddling is great for honing skills as you
need to concentrate on what the boat is doing not what you can see.

Actually the tides are wrong for this as evening low tides next week - week after much better so cancel next week

I'd say launch from Cuskinny and around to East Ferry side of the island Noel.
Count me in Pat!
