Don, Lights look pretty good, are they water resistant or waterproof ? Should have an O-ring if waterproof. What battery type do the take ?

The Guardian and Lightstik lights are used by channel swimmers and last about 50hrs. The Guardian is the brighter of the two and takes 2 cr2023 batteries. By rotating the batteries it either flashes or emits a constant light. The Guardian is waterproof for swimming after changing the batteries myself so they are very waterproof. Great for a lightweight light. The link Don has posted is the cheapest I have found them.

I had one of those in the desert and it was great and light. Only I lost it. Does a red led light as well as white and flashing too. Too expensive to buy over the counter here. |

Chem sticks on sale in ALDI on thursday. Usually the kids halloween treats do light stick cheaply but don't hold the light for hours on end like the marine ones. Still cheap is cheap.

In answer to the question Kayaks are exept from running lights - looked it up before and got the answer but now can't find the reference. Am I correct in saying blue doesn't affect night vision? In which case can you put down for a couple? ta P

I remember being told that kayaks don't need running lights too but they should consider them. When I looked at proper running lights I realised that my boat couldn't carry them :-)
