Anyone have a Wavesport Diesel 75 or paddled one?
Whats it like to paddle? Looking for something for bigger rivers and saw a good deal on a new one.
Volume is 283l which it think would be fine for me. I'm 12st (76 kg).
Cheers,
Don.

There are a few in the club have these boats at present. Alan has one, Micheal had one. Thats loads of volume for your weight Don for the rivers you'd be running. I'd say grab it while you can

Hi Don I got one from Bantry Bay Canoes for Euro875 on sale down from Euro1150 check out their website.

I done a lot of enquiries through the club asking advice on what boat to get and in the end the Diesel won.

i'm 80kg and find there is plenty room in the boat and it comes with a river kit which is important, I don't know if it rolls easy (can't roll yes) but I hear it does.

A few of the members have purchased these boats and seem to be quit happy with them.

One thing I found and don't let this put you off maybe it's just my fault I find the boat seems to spin out a lot (causing it to turn) in strong wind and has caught me out once or twice (Swim's).

I hope this helps you I found the club members quite helpful so don't be afraid to ask...

Cheers for the advice lads! Very Happy
Have ordered a diesel 75 and it on the way.. Razz

Works out about €750, which is a great price. Got it in Bournemouth Canoes in the UK. Price included delivery. There at:

www.bournemouthcanoes.co.uk

And not to worry David (Lane), i doubt very much i'll be demonstrating the ease of rolling of this boat Laughing
