| For the city, Spailpin Fanach or Fionnbarra are good places for a start. Fionnbarra has a beer garden, but don't think it would get used somehow! Spailpin is bigger so might be a better option.. Otherwise, Crane Lane is a popular haunt but can get pretty busy..

| Well if your looking for a more private area for a group i hear secret's has such spacs and good intertainment, but drink can be expensive im told. However Spailpin Fanach also has good intertainment and drink in the city center, and the other pub that comes to mind is the Franciscan well on 14 North mall just over the bridge from the gate cinema. Good to hold a crowd with big beer garden out back. |

| Not trying to be a pain in the arse. ....well okay, to be honest I am Just wondering how those of us that actually turn up on a Friday night between 8 and 9pm are expected to pack up, drive to Cork, leave our gear somewhere safe and travel into the city for beers by 9.30? Anybody got a private jet gathering dust? Paul Heff |

| Right, to answer the pain in the arse. I will have to drive to midleton after the pool session, collect a babysitter, drop my gear off and return to the city. I will probably be a bit later than 9:30pm however I will not expect anybody to wait until i arrive to buy a drink, talk to someone else or even just sit there and smile. I asked over a month ago for suggestions, then you should have said something, not now. Too Late So see ye then if ye can make it. Evan had spoke about maybe a saturday nightwith bowling, platters of food, etc , but considering there have only been 4 or 5 replying to this post, it seems friday it is. There are currently 89 members. 25 max involved in pool session so that leaves another 40 or 50 to turn up at 9:30pm with partners if they wish. |

| Get togethers are always a nightmare to organise - good idea just to set the date and go for it.
Subject to getting a babysitter I hope to come along with Kevin - probably won't make it either for 9.30 but will see you later.

| The pain in the arse would like to point out that a suggestion was made, but was rubbished at the time.
The pain in the arse (still there, paracetamol not what it used to be!) would also like to point out that my social organiser, has also pointed out that this date clashes with a previous engagement.
Taking notice that her 'pointing out' has far more importance than mine, re: ability to inflict pain, remove paddling privilege's, I regret I must stand down (no pun intended ) my availability for said alcoholic outing.
Yours in protestations,
Potential paddler.

| | Has a venue been picked yet. I'm not too pushed where its on. However I've heard rumours that Evan will be picking up the drinks tab for the night. And there is also rumours that we've all been booked into presendential suite in the metro pole hotel. |

| I should clarify: I'm only going home after the pool session to take the bikini off, cover bruises in plaster, rub the mask mark from my face and then HEAD TO THE PARTY. |
