I completed my level 2 kayaking course in early August and have been out weekly on the river with the club however I was wondering if there will be any courses / training etc for sea kayaking!

I would love to try it but would need gear. I have been checking out courses in West Cork but they are quite expensive!

The club has all the gear you need EXCEPT Wetsuits. A Wetsuit (€60+) is the first thing you need, stick to a 3mm wetsuit, anything thicker will make movement difficult. If you will only ever use it for kayaking, get a LongJohn (sleeveless) wetsuit (€80+). This allows your arms to move unhindered and will avoid your armpits being rubbed as you paddle. Use a rashvest / baselayer under the wetsuit ...
